Delhi Capitals Team Analysis IPL 2020

Rock Solid Batting lineup:

With likes of Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw, the top 2 looks steady and being right, and the left-hand combination helps the cause. Shreyas Iyer in the middle is a vital asset in the team who has got enough international exposure and been in critical stages of the game where he delivered. Delhi would be keeping big hopes in this young brat to perform well.

Big Hitters:

We all know how destructive are Windies players if they get going, Delhi has made some impressive selection by trading Shimron Hetmeyer. However, he had a bad outing in the previous editions in the league nevertheless the big lad who can you everywhere, adding to this we have RishabhPant. With being on and off into the national team, Pant will be coming with all his guns blazed this year to make his comeback stronger. If these two gets going the other team might land in some trouble

Addition of Jason Roy is a tactful move by the franchisee who can give you head start. He is a good backup for the team. Chris Woakes and Keemo Paul will fill in that finisher spot who can play a brisk inning at the back end of the game. On a whole batting looks pretty much rock solid and well-settled hope they bring fortune to the franchise.

Desi Spin Web:

Amit Mishra, the leading wicket for Delhi Capitals, will be leading the spin department. This veteran player has a knack of troubling batsmen with his googlies, Addition of Ashwin makes the duo much stronger with variety of googlies, carom balls and off-spin. They cover up crucial 8 -16 over period quite handily.

With Sandeep Lamichhane and Axar Patel, they make bench much even stronger, Axar Patel can time the ball beautifully and can quickly run through his off-spin within no time. They are eventually making it hard for the captain to make a strong XI with quite skilful players.

Fear-LESS fast

With South African players being on hold at the moment Delhi. They will surely miss the likes of Kagiso Rabada, who is a big lad in Capitals. If Rabada goes out, Ishant has a significant role to play here who has to lead the pace attack. Delhi lacks another well-known desi name on whom they can bank on!! Harshal Patel has played some good cricket here. But, this edition will have a more significant impact on him as the opponent team would be eyeing on him as a loose thread.

Chris Woakes will play a crucial role here under the absence of Kagiso Rabada. He will ideally play a second fast bowler role, and he has yet to make an impression on big-league. So, that this point may come in handy for Delhi

Avesh Khan and Mohit Sharma can come handy, Avesh khan has proved himself at U-19 stage, and Mohit Sharma has some good back of hand deliveries which can outfox other batsmen.

On a bigger Picture, Fast bowling seems to be bothering for Capitals with no proper regular players and backup.

Look out for this blokes.

Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Amit Mishra, Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw

Delhi Capitals Our XI:

Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Shimron Hetmeyer, Rishabh Pant, Chris Woakes, Ravi Chandran Ashwin, Amit Mishra, Ishant Sharma, Avesh Khan, Mohit Sharma.

Pullout Ashwin and add Sandeep Lamichhane depending on the situation
