Mitchell Starc to be part of BBL and IPL in 2021: In 2020 IPL the Kings XI Punjab has given some splendid performance along with bitter losses as well. In the points table, the KL Rahuls team was in sixth place. Till the last game, they were in the fight for the playoff spot. When they lost against MS Dhoni’s team they were out from the playoffs. The bowling was the main cause for Kings XI Punjab losing the game. The bowlers were not good support for the team unless Ravi Bishnoi and Mohammed Shami.
In preparation for the IPL 2021, there has been a summons made for the Australian pacers who wishes to have a comeback. After a couple of years, Mitchell Starc has planned for a comeback in the 2021 Big Bash League (BBL) after a break. His comeback after a gap of few years was announced by the Australian cricket. Wasim Jaffer who is the batting coach of the IPL team for KXIP took on his Twitter account to share and extend the invitation to Mitchell Starc asking him to play for Kings XI Punjab. A popular meme was taken from the hit Amazon Prime show Mirzapur which read, Humko Join Karlo which means, ”Join us ” was used by the coach. In the tweet, Jaffer tagged the Kings XI Punjab with a hashtag of IPL 2021.

At the IPL 2018, Mitchell Starc was selected to play for Kolkata Knight Riders. He was offered 9.4 crores, but unfortunately, he was not able to play as a result of a stress fracture on his foot. In the 2019 IPL, he was not available and during the 2020 IPL, he skipped the tournament on purpose. The last time that he played IPL was for Royal Challengers Bangalore and he was the leading wicket-taker in 2015 IPL for the franchise. Starc also gained success in Big Bash League, while he played for Sydney sixers.
Mitchell Starc Australia’s premier fast bowler will soon make his comeback at the Big Bash League, after a long break of five years. He will be soon representing the champions Sydney sixers by the beginning of next year. Along with other Australian national players, Starc will be available for the last three league games and also for the finals for champions Sydney Sixers. Starting from 2011 to 2015, Starc being a left-arm pacer, has spotlighted in ten BBL games from the year 2011 to 2015 taking about twenty wickets. In the year 2011-2012 edition, he was at the inaugural BBL winning Sydney sixers.
In an official release, Mitchell Starc made a statement saying that” It is great to be back in BBL and to be a part of champions Sydney sixers after being away from the game for about five seasons. He added, it is nice to be back again to be involved in the competition after watching it from a distance and it is the right time to be back where there is a lot of buzz in the air.
It’s an excitement that everyone is anticipating and striving to watch. He also said that ” watching Josh Hazelwood and Steve Smith playing last for the league certainly made him reconsider to come back”. It is an opportunity to get involved with his close associates who are also great people behind the scenes as well. As an audience, it will be great fun to watch Mitchell Starc bowling at full speed representing the champions Sydney sixers.
When the announcement was made stating that Mitchell Starc has agreed to play for the BIG BASH LEAGUE, fans are hoping that the pacer may be reconsider playing the 2021 IPL too. “We just have to wait and watch to know the answer if Starc agrees to play the 2021 IPL or not”. But, the coach Wasim Jaffer has already offered the fast bowler the invitation to play the 2021 IPL by using a popular dialogue from a Hindi web series.
