The 2020 edition of the IPL was expected to take place in April – May. But sadly it could not have taken place due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The BCCI has now announced that this league will start in mid-September with two major teams, namely the CSK and MI lock horns, in the inaugural game of this year’s edition.
This time, with all the security precautions, the league will be played in the Middle East country of Dubai, without any spectators. The inaugural edition of the IPL began in 2008 and 12 years down the road. It’s still the most famous T20 cricket league in the world. One of the key reasons why it’s so famous is that it offers a lot of Indian players a chance to show off their talents, rather than compare international players.
