Rajasthan Royals team Analysis:

Yashashwi Jaiswal will be opening the batting for Rajasthan, He is well known player in u-19 circuit, who scored some runs against his name, he can bowl some leg spin as well.He has 4 fifty plus scores in the last 5 matches he played in the beginning of this year and has 2 wickets in those matches.

Sanju Samson has been performing consistently for Rajasthan since his inception in the team. He has scored 342 runs last season with strike rate of 148 his highest through out his IPL career. He will be keeping wickets under the absence of Butler

Steve Smith will be one down batsmen and has scored 311 runs in the last edition of IPL, but his recent form in England has been quite worrying. He hasn’t have a score of 20+ in the last 4 matches he played there.

David Miller is bankable player for Rajasthan, although he has an off season for Punjab last year scoring 216 runs last year, he is a player to look out for in this side, will be looking to make a come back.

Robin Uthappa was pulled out of Kolkata amidst his mediocre performance last season with 284 runs in 12 matches. He is another bowler who can play spin well given Chennai has some.

Riyan Parag will be playing all-rounder role for Rajasthan under the absence of Ben Stokes, Parag has a score of fifty plus and two wickets in the last edition.

Shreyas Gopal will be leg spinner and will play a pivotal role. He has picked up 20 wickets for his team in the last edition.

Jofra Archer will be leading pace department for Rajasthan, He has picked up 11 wickets at an economy of 6 in the last edition, he was in red hot form in the recently concluded Australia series by scalping 7 wickets in 3 matches.

Jaydev Unadkat and Ankit Rajpoot will be Indian pacers for the team either of them will be featuring in the match, Undakat has picked up 11 wickets while Rajpoot has 3 wickets. in the last edition

Tom Curran and Andrew Tye either of them will be playing under foreign players quota, Curran is shown his batting skills in the recently concluded series against Australia, He might be picked up against Tye, Tye has picked up 3 wickets in 6 matches he played last season.

Players to look out: Archer, Samson, Gopal, Miller and Yashashwi Jaiswal

Our take: Given the absence of Butler, Rajasthan  batting will be heavily dependent on Sanju Samson which Chennai will make advantage given how good their bowling is. Rajasthan will have to bat their skin out to post a decent total to give their bowlers a good chance. Their bowling looks pretty solid with Archer, Gopal and Curran.

Chennai Super Kings team analysis:

Shane Watson looked in good touch when he hit a four in the first our after, but departed quickly, given the pace of Archer, Watson might face a problem.

Murali Vijay looked out of form in the game he played.

Rayudu and Du Plessis are key for Chennai this season, this was evident in first game itself. They both scored half centuries to take their team over the lines. They look to continue their streak.

Dhoni will be batting up the order if CSK bats first, given that he comes in middle stage of game, he can go havoc at inexperienced bowling attack of RR.

Sam Curran shined with his all-round abilities but his major strength will be bowling. He has already picked up 1 wicket and scored runs at strike rate of 160.

Piyush Chawla  will be doing spin department duty, he has played well in the last match restricting runs, economical bowler with economy of just 5.

Deepak Chahar will be leading pace department picked up 2 wickets at economy of 8 in the last game.

Lungi Ngidi was expensive in first two overs where he went for 29 runs but came back strongly at last two overs by picking 3 wickets and giving 11 runs.

Players to look out: Rayudu, du Plessis, Chawla, Tahir, Chahar.

RR vs CSK Match Prediction

Our take Chennai with their experience they should win this game, given their strength in all departments.
