Sky-High top order:
With David Warner and Jhonny Bairstow in the side, top order looks incredibly fine. This right and left-hand pair will be destructive if they are given time to settle. With kind of form of they are in their positions seems to be well settled. They have a good potential to play throughout the innings even when the other departs. Most part of Sun Risers runs has come from these two bats.
With Kane Williamson and Manish Pandey coming in after these two the top order looks balanced with some balanced gameplay. However, Kane Williamson may have to sit out of the team if they look for a finisher or all-rounder.
Can middle-order live up to expectations?
With not so heavyweights in the middle order and Shakib Al Hasan being out of the tournament Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson has a bigger role to play in the middle stage of the game also, there is not so heavy likes at down order these two have to show a great character.
Addition of Mitchell Marsh can be relief for team but can he show some character to anchor the innings if top order fails. Whilst having plenty of exposure to crunch times, these three are expected to do well.
The best thing Risers have done this year is strengthening their bench that too with young talent is quite exciting. Priyam Garg and Virat Singh have proved themselves in domestic circuit. One of them are surely going to be tested in middle order. Vijay Shankar and Mohammed Nabi are added experienced bench players.

To name a few we have Mitchell Marsh and Vijay Shankar with over packed foreign players, It is highly unlikely that Mitchell Marsh would get a chance, If team wants to have a finsher and who can bowl some overs then Kane Williamson has to sit out.
Being Out of team after last year world cup Vijay Shankar will be looking to capitalize on this situation but he has a bigger role to play. Can he live up to expectations? Find out in few weeks.
Heavy weight Pace:
With Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Sid Kaul desi pace attack looks promising and these trio have lived up to expectations given the fact that Kahleel has been expensive but picked up wickets at regular intervals.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been exceptional with his slower deliveries at the end and Sid Kaul has controlled flow of runs at middle stage.
Sandeep Sharma, Billy Stanlake, Basil Thampi and Natarajan will bring up strength to bench they might get few games if frontline pacers have some hard games. Pace department is onething Sun Risers have banked up on for years and continue to do this year as well.
The sole Spinner
Rashid Khan has proved to be a crucial member in the team with his magical spells taking wickets at regular intervals, He has to play all matches in the league for his team. Shabhaz Nadeem and Abhishek Sharma are other spinners but they failed to make an impression last year. Shabaz has proved to be economical but failed to pick wickets.
Watch out for this lads:
